Stadium Releases for the Oct. 11, 2024 Weekend
Well, well, well, here we are again! We're back after a bit of a break to get our ducks in a row! We’ll update the blog once a week, every Friday morning. Most of the topics throughout the year will be about staff favorites, new release highlights, and significant branded events, like Topps Break Night in December!
This week, we’ll be highlighting the Stadium!
There are only three big things on the Stadium radar, and they are the 2024 Bowman Sterling Baseball Hobby Box, the 2024 Kakawow Phantom Warner Bros 100th Anniversary Trading Cards Box, and the 2024 Topps Chrome Cosmic Baseball!
2024 Bowman Sterling Baseball Hobby Box
In this box, you’ll find 5 autographs! 2024 Bowman Sterling Baseball raises the bar for prospect and rookie cards with an entirely new collection of stunning chrome designs and inserts! The checklist includes top rookies and prospects like Elly De La Cruz and Paul Skenes. Bowman Sterling is printed on Topps’ gorgeous chrome stock, bringing out the refractors' dimensional textures. The cherry on top is that all of the autographs are hard-signed on-card!
2024 Topps Chrome Cosmic Baseball Hobby Box
This is one of the sets I’ve been looking forward to the most! Cosmic is always fabulous, but this year’s set holds a special place in my sci-fi-loving heart. 2024 Topps Chrome Cosmic Baseball is paying homage to Mars Attacks! This is news to me, but the connection makes a lot of sense when you realize that Jasson Dominguez’s nickname is The Martian. The inserts for “The Martian Attacks” set look fantastic! I love the retro sci-fi look! Back again is the Planetary Pursuit insert set! Lou is very excited to try his hand at pulling a Pluto (Pluto is a planet)!
2024 Kakawow Phantom Warner Bros 100th Anniversary Trading Cards Box
To be honest, this one caught me off guard. I knew it was released, but what I didn’t expect was the variety of the cards that would be in the box. According to GTS, “A fusion product featuring an all-star lineup, including DC Cinematic Universe, The Matrix, Middle-Earth, F-R-I-E-N-D-S, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo and MORE! Collect a total of 240 star characters in this never-before-seen combination of intellectual property containing both animation and live-action movie characters!” Lou did a box for himself yesterday, and it did not disappoint! The cards were sleek and well cut, but nothing beats seeing Fred from Scooby Doo on a card next to Neo from The Matrix.
That’s all for this week! Check back next week for a staff highlight! And be sure to leave suggestions for topics you’d like to read about in the comments below!
