Sports Cards and Stuff | This Week in the Stadium

Welcome to the Adventure Stadium Blog. I am your host, Samantha. We all know the sports have lost a great player this week and we are all saddened by the death of Dwayne Haskins. It was announced today that his memorial service will be held on the 22nd of April; our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, The Steeler Nation, Washington Commanders, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. We will all miss him. 

As the season opens for Baseball we have some amazing games and some great players to talk over. We all know that the world of Baseball is no place for the weak hearted, as the new Cleveland Guardians take on the Reds and win yesterday it was something no one saw coming. The Braves winning over the Nationals however is such a great game, even if it was a blow out. Let's not forget the Astros beating the Diamondbacks with a 2-1 score. Man, this season is shaping up to be a doozy. 

Don’t forget to come in the store and see all the new jerseys, cards, sealed boxes and even some breaks we have going on this month. Like this week we have two new products that came out. 

First is the 2021-2022 Panini Contenders Basketball Hobby Box- Break Average. It has 2 Autographs, @ base parallels and 8 inserts/ insert Parallels.Past and present NBA standouts are also slated for on-card autographs via Veteran Ticket. These autographs highlight some of the top 2021 NBA Draft picks. Parallels include 75th Anniversary (shown above), Cracked Ice Ticket and Championship Ticket. Look for short-printed License to Dominant and Permit to Dominant cards in Hobby boxes, as well. Inserts supply another eight cards per Hobby box. There are several Hobby-only options available, including Legendary Contenders, Lottery Tickets, MVP Contenders, Rookie of the Year Contenders, Suite Shots, and Superstar Die-Cut. Limited parallels include Playoff Ticket, The Finals Ticket, and Premium Edition Gold (1/1).

Next is the 2021 Panini Encased Football. What can you expect in this box?

The product starts with a small but star-heavy 100-card main base set. Each has additional Sapphire (/25), Gold (/10), Emerald (/5), and Diamond (1/1) parallels. Some also have autograph versions that top out at 25 copies each. First-year players figure heavily into Encased’s autographs. This includes both Rookie Endorsements and Rookie Notable Signatures. For both of these, base versions have no more than 75 copies each. Sapphire (/50 or less), Gold (/25 or less), Emerald (/10 or less), and Diamond (1/1) parallels can also be found. On-card veteran autographs are available in Superscribe Signatures (/75 or less). Four levels of parallels come numbered to 50 and under. New to the product are Sapphire Signatures. These have a dark signing spot and with metallic blue ink for the autograph. Rookie Quad Memorabilia (/75 or less) cards have four swatches.

We also have some amazing BREAKS coming to you in April! The first one is on April 22th from 4-5:30 pm!! We are breaking Phoenix and Mosaic!! It’s gonna be so good!! I can’t wait to see all the beauties, Preston and Lou are going to see. 

Our second break this month is a Prizm and Mosaic Break. It is May 13th from 4-5:30 pm. I’m super excited for this one. I can’t wait to see all those beautiful cards!!
